Meet the Owners
Friends and colleagues for almost 25 years now, Nancy Greer and Melissa Wurtz launched Twin Peaks Field Services in 2000 and have worked tirelessly to grow the company into a highly respected, nationally-known right-of-way and landman services firm. They are hands-on owners, often out in the field and always overseeing and managing projects of every size.
Nancy and Melissa have over 30 years of combined experience in right-of-way and landman services.
Nancy is the daughter of a farmer, landman and wildcatter. She grew up on the land, understanding the importance of property title and ownership rights of natural resources. She later expanded her knowledge of the oil and gas world by working first hand on a joint venture in Russia in the Ural Mountains of Siberia. With that background, it was inevitable that she would find her way back to the right-of-way and landman industry.
Melissa has similar family ties to land-related business. Her father owned an abstract company in Kansas for many years, instilling an almost innate knowledge of property matters. Melissa’s research and communication skills were honed by a decade of work researching and locating heirs for probate attorneys. She eventually returned to property work and later partnered with Nancy to launch Twin Peaks.
Twin Peaks is a certified Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE), a member of the Kansas City Chamber of Commerce and an active national and local member of the International Right-of-Way Association (IRWA).
Both Nancy and Melissa have achieved notable designation and credentials in the industry – both have SR/WA designations as Senior Members of the IRWA. The SR/WA designation is achieved only through experience, education and examination. Nancy has completed additional certification programs, achieving the R/W-NAC (Negotiation and Acquisition Certification), R/W-AMC (Asset Management Certification) and R/W-EC (Environmental Certification) designations.
